An Alabama man on death row for raping and murdering a 5-year-old girl in late 2021 wants the state to hurry up and get it over with already.
Jeremy Williams wants his execution fast-tracked, after a panel of appeals judges affirmed his conviction and death sentence last week for the brutal killing of Kamarie Holland.
Williams, 41, could get his execution pushed up to the top of Alabama’s execution list.
He has requested a speedy execution.
In Alabama, death row inmates are executed with nitrogen hypoxia, a method that replaces oxygen with nitrogen, supposedly leading to a painless suffocation.
Williams was having a sexual relationship with Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple, and detectives eventually determined the mom let Williams rape her daughter in exchange for money.
Kamarie’s naked body was found in the basement of an abandoned home in Phenix City.

The little girl had a rope tied around her neck, and Williams said that he strangled Kamarie to death after smoking crystal meth.
Williams also sexually assaulted Kamarie’s corpse, police said.
Russell County District Attorney Rick Chancey said the request for a speedy execution could bump Williams to the front of the line, ahead of death row inmates who’ve delayed their executions by filing multiple appeals.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey would have to sign off on Williams’ request, as would the state Attorney General’s office.
Ivey has yet to indicate if she would approve such a request.
Williams could get a definitive date of death in three weeks, after the paperwork is processed.
Authorities said that Williams could be executed over the coming summer.
He is currently on death row at the Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, the only institution statewide that is authorized to carry out executions.
He was sentenced to death in 2024.
For the role she ultimately played in Kamarie’s horrible death, Siple pleaded guilty in March 2024 to first-degree human trafficking after prosecutors dropped the murder charges she was facing.

She was sentenced to 20 years in prison in addition to fines.
Before her arrest, Siple gave an interview to WTVM, vowing she had nothing to do with Kamarie’s death.
Two days after Kamarie was found dead, Siple appeared again on TV, donating the dead girl’s toys.
“I’m coping, I’m making it,” Siple, 39, said. “I am a mommy, and I didn’t have nothing to do with this. She was my life. I lived for her daily.”
