2026 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association 2A Swimming and Diving Championships

March 13-14, 2026 Lewisburg, PA SCY (25 yards) Results: Girls; Boys 

Two programs with championship pedigrees were atop the podium at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association 2A Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Shady Side Academy girls repeated as state champions by finishing six points clear of runner-up Franklin Regional, while the Cathedral Prep boys won their fourth state title since 2019 and first since 2021 by finishing 51 points ahead of Tunkhannock.

Girls’ Recap

Shady Side was led by junior Ava Jochims, who won two individual events and was a part of a winning relay team.

Jochims captured the 200 IM (2:01.13) and 500 free (4:53.93), and had a 24.88 fly split to help Shady Side win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:47.25. Other team members were Elyse Brenenborg on back, (28.30), Ella Kiger on breast (30.45) and Rachael Bummer (23.62) on free.

There were three other multi-event winners individually, Hampton senior Lainey Sheets, Schuylkill Valley junior Mabel Walborn and Westmont Hilltop sophomore Rylee Kohan.

Committed to Duquesne, Sheets won the 100 fly in 54.00 and the 100 back in 54.72, both personal best times.

Walborn, a West Virginia commit, won the 200 free in 1:51.74 and the 100 breast in 1:03.10, both personal best times.

Kohan captured both sprint freestyle events, repeating as champion in the 50 free with a time of 23.22 and claiming the 100 free in a personal best time of 50.48.

Other event winners were:

Hampton senior Gabby Elk won the 1-meter diving event with 452.75 points. Franklin Regional claimed the 200 free relay in 1:37.18 behind the team of Magdalena Hull (24.68), Jamie Kociela (24.02), Aidah Holm (24.87) and Scarlett Zolnak (23.61)., Villa Maria captured the 400 free relay in a time of 3:31.11 behind the squad of Meg Collison (53.30), Gwen Devenney (51.78), Caroline McCabe (54.59) and Hailey Rittenhouse (51.44).

Boys’ Recap

Cathedral Prep won the team title despite claiming just one event, that coming courtesy of senior Jack Raimy.

Committed to Colgate, Raimy won the 100 fly in a personal best time of 49.55.

There were two multi-event winners on the day, Schuylkill Valley senior Owen Eisenhofer and Northgate senior Sam Cavanaugh.

Committed to West Virginia, Eisenhofer won the 200 free in a personal best of 1:37.20 after placing 2nd last year, and then repeated as champion in the 100 back with a time of 48.67.

Eisenhofer was also a part of two winning relay teams for Schuylkill Valley.

Eisenhofer led off in 22.53 on the back leg to help Schuylkill Valley win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:34.53. Other team members were Kyle Gao (27.49) on breast, Gabe Martin on fly (22.73) and Luke Clark (21.68) on free.

In the 400 free relay, Eisenhofer anchored in 43.89 to help Schuylkill Valley win in a time of 3:09.41. Other team members were Aiden Lawson (48.67), Clark (47.40) and Grayson Dennis (49.45),

A Bucknell commit, Cavanaugh claimed the 200 IM in a personal best time of 1:49.23 and the 500 free in a personal best time of 4:30.08. Cavanaugh was 2nd in both events last year.

Other event winners were:

Donegal junior Colton Houck won the 50 free in a personal best 20.72. Landyn Snook of Bishop Shanahan claimed the 1-meter diving title with 490.20 points. Tunkhannock junior Josh Reed won the 100 free in a personal best of 46.06. In the 200 free relay, Tunkhannock’s team of Kyle Kozloski (21.06), Chase Newhart (22.10), Aidan Mislevy (22.03) and Jaden Baltrusaitis (20.14) won in a time of 1:25.33. Bloomsburg junior Grayson Reck claimed the 100 breast in a personal best of 55.39.
