The Alabama Pro Day event is always loaded with NFL-ready talent, and this year is no exception. And if you are hoping that the Chicago Bears are out in Crimson Tide country putting their eyes on top prospects, then you’d be glad to know that General Manager Ryan Poles and Assistant GM Jeff King are in attendance and in the thick of things.
Visual proof from reporters on the scene:

— J.D. Zasa (@jdzasa) March 25, 2026Because of the Bears’ needs along the offensive line, the post from WVUA sports reporter J.D. Zasa got the wheels in my head turning. Seeing Chicago’s general manager getting an up-close look at offensive line drills and monitoring a pair of top prospects at Alabama Pro Day who play positions the Bears could look to fill during the 2026 NFL Draft is certainly noteworthy.
Alabama Pro Day 2026: Eyes On Kadyn Proctor and Parker Brailsford
Kadyn Proctor and Parker Brailsford are prospects who have been on our radar since long before Alabama Pro Day opened its doors. Both players have long been considered top-rated prospects at their respective positions. Given the Bears’ needs along the offensive line in recent years, Proctor and Brailsford are players whose prospect stock I monitored. And now that the Bears are in the market for a left tackle and a center, this feels like a good time to check in on those particular NFL Draft-eligible prospects.
I have been writing about Kadyn Proctor as a possible Bears fit in the 2026 NFL Draft since (at least) October. The first moment I felt as if left tackle would be a position of need came after a two-game stretch in which Theo Benedet allowed a bunch of pressures, hurries, and sacks while squaring off against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. That led me to spend my Sunday night and Monday morning looking at left tackle fits and prospects who could be on the Bears’ radar on NFL Draft weekend.
Sure, we saw Ozzy Trapilo eventually bring stability to the position. But his injury in Chicago’s playoff win against the Green Bay Packers has pushed left tackle up the list of offseason needs because his return for the 2026 season is up in the air right now. Proctor could be in play for the Bears at pick No. 25, but addressing their defensive line needs in Round 1 might take precedence in 2026.

Mandatory Credit: Gary Cosby Jr.-Imagn ImagesPerhaps a motivated Braxton Jones could regain his old form while playing on a one-year “prove it” deal. Maybe free-agent addition Jedrick Wills Jr. can recapture the magic and show why the Cleveland Browns made him a top-10 pick. Or maybe the Bears zig when others think they will zag, take a prospect in the NFL Draft, plant him as the starting left tackle, and move along with things. If they end up picking Proctor, a Consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC player in 2025, we might end up looking back at the Alabama Pro Day as a turning point moment.
Meanwhile, Alabama center Parker Brailsford has been on our scopes since December 2024. At the time, Brailsford was set to be one of the top (possibly the top) center prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class. But then he returned to school for another year, which took him out of consideration as a possible Bears fit at center. When Drew Dalman signed with Chicago as a free agent last spring, I didn’t think I’d be writing about Brailsford as a prospect fit ever again. However, Dalman’s surprise retirement in early March puts Brailsford back in the thick of things as a possible long-term option and successor to trade acquisition Garrett Bradbury.
I’m sure there were other worthwhile prospects at the Alabama Pro Day who Bears were keeping tabs on as they go about building their board. But a first-round offensive tackle prospect and a Day 2 center option should be atop the list.
