I Tried Victoria Beckham’s Satin Kajal Eyeliner for 5 Months—Is It Worth the Hype? ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Satin Kajal Eyeliner is a star of the beauty world—a frequent editor pick in best-of beauty roundups, and a product that can likely be found in every makeup artists' bag. Experts consistently laud its super-creamy texture, its beautiful shades and its long wear.

Last September, I purchased my first Victoria Beckham eyeliner ("terracotta"), and then got a second color ("cocoa") in quick succession. I've used them both regularly ever since. Here's why.

The formula of Victoria Beckham's eyeliner is considered "clean" it's vegan, not tested on animals and excludes more than 30 controversial and potentially-harmful ingredients such as parabens and phthalates. (That's important to consider since you're basically sticking it in your eye.)

Even though it's easy to blend, it's also smudge-proof and waterproof and has thousands of 5-star reviews on Victoria Beckham Beauty's site, including:

"This pencil is amazing! I'm a makeup artist so I go through eye pencils quickly!""I really liked the eyeliner, the color is beautiful with glitter.""Bought these on a whim - the cinnamon color and the greenish gold. Goes on smoothly and bold color. Lasts all day. Love!""First, I absolutely love how smoothly this goes on my 60+ year old eyes. It doesn’t get stuck or weirdly feathered like some other liners as happens with older skin. Second, the built in smudges is genius! I like a subtle smoky eye and this is perfect. Third, it stays on even out enjoying outdoor pool and other humid activities! I bought several colors and the ones with the subtle yet striking shimmer are just amazing!"

Unlike many liners, you don’t have to press hard on the delicate eye area or go over a line more than once. It glides on very easily and melts into the skin, so there's no effort to blend it out with the smudge tool right after applying it.

The colors (20 options!) are another standout. The pigments are beautiful and have enough depth that you don’t need to layer them to get noticeable definition.

Final Takeaways: Is the Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Eyeliner Worth It?

This $35 product is absolutely worth the extra money. I recommend it for mature women like me, and you can use it for a bit of definition or a full dark, smokey eye. Either way, you don't need to use much product, so it should last you for a long time. The pencil has also been reliable. It doesn’t run or melt, although to be fair, I have worn it only through the winter months and apart from a quick Florida trip where it performed well, I haven't tested it regularly in hot summer weather.

All 20 shades seem gorgeous—I have "terracotta" and "cocoa" (pictured here) to complement blue eyes, but I would happily try the others (I currently have "fig" on my wishlist). The Victoria Beckham website even has an eye-matching tool that helps you find your best shade. Enjoy!
