NEW YORK STATE — Trader Joe’s has added its packaged vegetable fried rice to a list of frozen foods recalled due to possible glass contamination.

In total, nearly 10 million pounds of frozen Trader Joe’s products are being pulled from shelves, including products sold in New York State, for possible glass contamination from carrots. Trader Joe’s chicken fried rice, Japanese-style fried rice, and chicken shu mai are also on the list.

The recalled vegetable fried rice packages have best-by dates ranging from Feb. 28 to Nov. 19 and a UPC of 00521482. You can see the complete list of recalled items on the USDA’s website.

If you have a recalled item, you can return it to the store for a full refund and then dispose of it. Trader Joe’s says the recalled products were sent to 43 different states.
