SANT BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – Eri Arzate was arrested Sunday for multiple felonies including criminal threats, brandishing, and assault on an officer after a helicopter-involved search following a vehicle pursuit through Santa Barbara.
On March 22, around 4:03 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a man brandishing a firearm near the intersection of Olive Street and Ortega Street as well as a description of the suspect's vehicle stated a press release from the Santa Barbara Police Department.
According to Santa Barbara Police, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver declined to comply and a vehicle chase through Santa Barbara surface streets and onto Highway 101 ensued.
