The It’s Iconic Tour will bring three of the most influential girl groups in hip-hop and R&B to arenas and amphitheaters nationwide. Fans can expect to hear some of Salt-N-Pepa, TLC and En Vogue’s biggest hits such as “Shoop,” “No Scrubs” and “Free Your Mind.”
“The show is going to be crazy,” said Cheryl “Salt” James in a Live Nation Q&A with the three acts. “We’re doing the whole mixtape type of vibe, like, the coming in and out. It’s just gonna be ‘Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!'”
“[It’s] just really a feast for the audience,” said En Vogue’s Cindy Herron. “This has never been done.”
The announcement comes just three days before all three groups are set to take the stage together for the first time ever at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday (March 26).
The It’s Iconic Tour will kick-off on Saturday, Aug. 15, at FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tenn., before traversing the country and ending on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Toyota Pavilion at Concord in Concord, Calif.
“Having all of us come together, it’s a cultural olympian,” said En Vogue’s Terry Ellis in the Q&A. “And just being able to work with these ladies — they represent resilience, empowerment, and to be a part of that? They’re legends.”
“You’re legends,” said Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC.
“We’re all legends!” James said.
Citi and American Express presales for the It’s Iconic Tour will open on Tuesday (March 24). General onsale will begin on Thursday (March 26) at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation’s website.
