Day 62 of the Chicago Bears offseason. Getting that first neighborhood walk in on a Saturday when it feels like summer (but isn’t quite yet summer) is the type of thing I dreamed about in January and February.
OK, so Tom Brady’s still got it:Tommy ? Gronky@Fanatics | @NFL pic.twitter.com/ZCFOP90NKB

— FOX Sports (@FOXSports) March 21, 2026 I don’t think Tom Brady is going to return to the NFL and give up what is left on his massive contract to be FOX’s top color analyst. But the guy can still flick it, which is cool to see. Maybe the Raiders will deploy Brady to be a one-year placeholder while Fernando Mendoza, the projected top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, sits with a clipboard and watches the G.O.A.T. conduct business until he is ready. Meanwhile, the professional flag football teams really made a statement by stomping the heck out of the NFLers. This was their Super Bowl … and they played like it. Perhaps the NFL guys need some time to acclimate to the game and learn some tricks of the trade. Or maybe they should just stay in their lane. I think the big takeaway from Saturday’s shenanigans is that the NFL and Flag Football are two *VERY* different games.BN BEARS ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook | Twitter | BlueSky
Now that Jaquan Brisker’s signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers is officially official, it makes sense that the team posted a highlight featuring the Bears safety. This interception was one of my favorite moments from one of my favorite games during a mostly forgettable era of Chicago football:Got ourselves a baller ? @JaquanBriskerMore on t.co/XL7UQscxtd pic.twitter.com/Du8jHUYYWt
— Pittsburgh Steelers (@steelers) March 21, 2026 We are starting to stack up some names of NFL Draft-eligible prospects who could fill in the vacancy in the starting lineup that Jaquan Brisker left behind upon his departure. Oregon’s Dillon Thieneman is someone we have discussed as an option for Chicago’s football team with pick No. 25 on a few occasions. And now, we are adding Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren to the mix as someone to keep an eye on ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. This would make for an intriguing starting secondary:The Bears could have a new lockdown secondary ? pic.twitter.com/FEov0HCWYg
— PFF (@PFF) March 22, 2026 New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo apologized for his commentary about CTE and asthma:“I recently did an interview and had a lapse in judgment, which resulted in me making a tasteless joke about CTE and asthma. It was never my intention to downplay the seriousness of head injuries or asthma. I sincerely apologize to anyone that was offended by my remarks, and I assure you that I’ll be more mindful and respectful going forward.
“Much love !!!”
Not to be the old man yelling at the cloud, but I miss when jokes were funny. And I also miss when people had some knowledge about what they spoke on before actually opening their mouths — even in a joking manner. Moving on.SUBSCRIBE TO THE BN BEARS PODCAST: Apple | Spotify | YouTube

Mandatory Credit: Mike Dinovo-Imagn Images PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp (via Awful Announcing) on the NFL’s rights negotiations with CBS: “That just doesn’t leave a lot of money out for everyone else.” CBS appears to be slashing costs across the board, with their recent shuttering of CBS News Radio headlining the latest round of eye-opening cuts. The NFL could seek to double its money from CBS, which is the type of thing that would cause the network to cut elsewhere in order to make the juice worth the squeeze. New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston is scheduled to be part of Netflix’s MLB coverge for the 2026 season. Seeing this made me turn my head and question why, but then I remembered that Winson was once a standout baseball player at Florida State and was even a 15th-round pick by the Texas Rangers in 2012. Winston is clearly trying to carve out his post-playing career path with his media endeavors. That seems smart.MORE BEARS FROM BLEACHER NATION: Go Ad-Free | Subscribe to the BN Newsletter
