Panel Name: Aging in Colorado 

Moderators: Sun reporters and editors Jennifer Brown and Kevin Simpson

Pam Holland, an expert on sorting a lifetime of household clutter; Alison Joucovsky, an entrepreneur who created a home-share business based on the “Golden Girls” model; and Barb Kreisman, cocreator of a University of Denver-based program to help navigate life’s third act, will speak at Colorado SunFest 2026 about the challenges Colorado’s aging population is facing. This conversation is also geared toward the generation caring for this population. 

Alison L. Joucovsky, executive director of Sunshine Home Share Colorado

Joucovsky founded Sunshine Home Share Colorado, the first nonprofit home-sharing program in the state, in 2015 in response to the affordable housing crisis facing Coloradans. Previously, she served as a Community Organizer/Program Coordinator for the Jewish Family Service of Colorado.

She received her master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis on geriatric care from the University of Northern Colorado.

Pam Holland, founder of Mindful Decluttering & Organizing

Holland has spent more than 20 years helping women and families navigate downsizing and helping them through life changes. She established Mindful Decluttering & Organizing in 2005.

She is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, and has authored a book titled “All in the Family: Clutter and Your Primary Relationships.” 

She received her master’s degree from Appalachian State University and has hosted workshops sharing her expertise.

Barbara Kreisman, cofounder of University of Denver-based Retirement Reimagined

Kreisman has spent more than 30 years in the leadership, organizational development and strategic planning field. Currently, she is affiliated with the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging, Ritchie School of Engineering at the University of Denver, where she cofacilitates courses on reimagining retirement.

She was associate dean of the Daniels College of Business for 18 years, and worked for a number of companies, including Dell Technologies, Motorola Semiconductor and Fisher Controls. 

She was recently named to the Colorado Commission on Aging and is the founding principal of Purposeful-Aging.org. Kreisman received her Ph.D. in leadership and organizational behavior from the University of Texas, a master’s degree from Arizona State University and a second master’s degree from the University of Texas. 

The panel, “Aging in Colorado,” is one of 11 conversations scheduled for Colorado SunFest 2026.
