2026 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II State Swimming and Diving Championships
Feb. 24-28, 2026 Canton, OH SCY (25 yards) ResultsIt was two familiar teams atop the podium at the Ohio Division II State Championships.
For the fourth straight year, the Hathaway girls won the state title, finishing with more than double the points of runner-up Hawken. It was a little closer in the boys’ competition, but University School won its fifth straight crown, finishing 12 points ahead of runner-up Ontario.

Hathaway Brown was led by senior Sofia Jimenez, a Florida State commit who won two events and was a part of two winning relay teams.
Jimenez won the 200 IM in a time of 2:02.73, and then later claimed the 100 fly in a time of 54.42.
In the 200 medley relay, Jimenez split 22.64 in the free to help Hathaway Brown win with a time of 1:41.69. Other team members were Josephine Piliang (25.43), Cathrine Dorsey (28.97) and Eva Hughes (24.65).
Jimenez then split 51.16 in the leadoff leg for Hathaway Brown’s 400 free relay team, which won in a time of 3:27.55. Other team members were Charlotte Duijser (52.04), Dorsey (53.13), and Piliang (51.22).
Hathaway Brown also claimed the 200 free relay in 1:36.96 behind the team of Hughes (24.38), Daphne Vrobel (24.73), Rachel Porter (24.10) and Oma Agwa (23.74).
The other notable individual performance came from Roger Bacon senior Reese Reilly, a Duke commit , who won her third straight title in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.69.
Hathaway Brown also got individual wins from Duijser, Dorsey and Piliang.
A Harvard commit, Duijser captured the 200 free in a personal best time of 1:50.66.
Dorsey, a sophomore, won the 500 free in 4:54.23.
Piliang, a junior, repeated as champion in the 100 back with a time of 54.32.
Other event winners were:
Bryan senior Nora Kunsman, an Ohio University commit, won the 50 free in a personal best of 22.95. Wauseon junior Kali Spangler won the 1-meter diving event with 442.10 points. Carroll freshman Brooklyn Tailey claimed the 100 free in a personal best time of 51.12.Girls’ Team Standings — Top 5

University School didn’t win a single event, but used its depth to once again claim the title. The leading point getter was senior Paul Moody, an Army commit who took 2nd in the 100 fly and 3rd in the 100 back.
The multi-event winners were Oak Harbor senior Austin Sorg and Columbus St. Francis de Sales senior Luke DeFrancisco.
A Pitt commit, Sorg won the 200 free (1:38.32) and 100 fly (47.68) in personal best times, taking the latter after finishing 2nd last year.
DeFrancisco, who has committed to UNC-Wilmington, won the 200 IM in a personal best time of 1:48.77 and then 100 breast in 56.36, improving on a 2nd-place finish last year.
Other event winners were:
Cincinnati Mariemont claimed the 200 medley relay in 1:33.337 behind the team of Desmond Noone (24.28), Corbin Heis (25.66), Quinn Heis (21.57) and Maddox Moon (21.86). Bidwell River Valley senior Levi Priddy captured the 50 free in a personal best of 20.21. Bexley junior Jackson Monus won the 1-meter diving event with 549.15 points. Hawken sophomore Everett Losch topped the field in the 100 free with a personal best time of 44.57. Toledo Ottawa Hills junior Thomas Lathrop won the 500 free in a time of 4:33.46. The 200 free relay was won by Ontario’s team of Owen Walter (21.86), Jack Rietschlin (21.47), Colten Montgomery (21.35) and Grantham Trumpower (19.64) in 1:24.32. Wellington junior Jack Mahaffey improved on a 3rd-place finish last year in the 100 back, winning it this year with a time of 48.38. Lake Catholic claimed the 400 free relay in 3:09.86 behind the team of Darren Bittner (46.70), Caleb Ortman (48.60), Evan Ream (47.19) and Owen Pesek (47.37).Boys’ Team Standings — Top 5
