CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — ChamberFest Canandaigua has announced its 22nd summer season, running from July 22 to July 29 in and around Canandaigua.
Tickets went on sale March 16 at ChamberFestCanandaigua.com.
This season includes a deep dive into the works of Antonin Dvorak and the return of the fan-favorite “Music of Wine” event. The season features two main-stage concerts and a series of community-engagement events to make chamber music more accessible. The ensemble includes Bridget Kibbey, harp; Amy Sue Barston, cello; Audrey Andrist, piano; Katie Lansdale and Shannon Nance, violin; and Chiara Kingsley Diegnez, viola.
The season:
July 22, 7 p.m.: Reading Party — a casual, social gathering in which the festival musicians will sight-read various pieces at a private home on Canandaigua Lake. Tickets will be limited to 30 guests.
July 23, 6 p.m.: “A Night to Remember,” with music paired with wine and a five-course dinner at The Lake House in Canandaigua.
July 24, 7:15 p.m: Bridget Kibbey & Friends — Harpist Kibbey will perform her own transcriptions of Bach, Debussy and Albeniz at Notre Dame Retreat Center in Canandaigua.
July 25, 11 a.m.: Suzuki Pay-in — Musicians of all ages and levels will gather to perform a shared repertoire from memory at Cobblestone Arts Center in Farmington.
July 26, 2 p.m.: Music of Wine — Pairing of wine with chamber music at Ventosa Vineyards in Geneva.
July 28, 7:15 p.m.: “An Evening of Elegance” — Late romantic chamber music composed by Dvorak, scored for piano and string quartet, at Notre Dame Retreat Center.
July 29, 12:30 p.m.: Community Concert — Artistic director Audrey Andrist closes the season with a piano concert.
