Chicago police were investigating after a man was shot inside a vehicle on Sunday afternoon in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The shooting was reported at around 12:31 p.m. along Fullerton Avenue near Ashland Avenue. According to police, a 40-year-old man was traveling in a vehicle when he was shot in the neck by an unknown offender.

The victim was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Area Three detectives were investigating.
