ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Conference announced its 2026 Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete Team on Thursday.
This year’s men’s swimming & diving honoree is Valparaiso’s Anthony Martin. The senior holds a 3.97 cumulative grade-point average as a mechanical engineering major. On the women’s side, UIC’s Molly Kroeger takes home this year’s honor. Kroeger holds a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA as a biomedical engineering major.
The criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team voting parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America nominations. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, where applicable. If a GPA has not been established as a transfer student, the cumulative GPA from the nominee’s previous institution must be used. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing. Redshirt freshmen are not eligible. Eligible nominees must compete in at least four competitions OR finish in the top eight individually at the Conference championship, or be a member of a top-three relay team at the event.
