San Diego’s dining and nightlife scene is hopping this month, with a mix of festive celebrations, new openings, and limited-time culinary offerings. St. Patrick’s Day Specials: March 13–17

San Diego venues are going all out for the luckiest weekend of the month.

Borrego Rooftop Kitchen + Cocktails, located on the ninth floor of Hotel Indigo San Diego – Gaslamp Quarter, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with festive bites and drinks. Guests can sip a green draft of Stone Brewing’s Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager paired with a “Lucky Charms” shot made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Midori, peach liqueur, and citrus, garnished with a Lucky Charms marshmallow, priced at $15.

The rooftop will also serve Shamrock Stacked Fries, a shareable dish topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and house-made Russian dressing, priced at $17.

El Chingon in the Gaslamp Quarter will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with two days of festivities. On Sunday, March 15, the “Bad Ass Mexican” hotspot will host a Shamrock and Mimosas brunch beginning at 11 a.m., featuring a live DJ, mimosas,s and brunch favorites such as chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, and huevos rancheros. The celebration continues Tuesday, March 17, with $6 green beer drafts and bottles of Jameson Irish Whiskey for $200, along with menu items such as carne asada plates and tacos starting at $5.

Romanissimo, Little Italy, March 17Romanissimo is marking St. Patrick’s Day with a festive cocktail that adds an Italian twist to the Irish holiday. The restaurant’s Shamrock Silk blends vanilla vodka, crème de menthe, coconut cream, and lime, topped with cold vanilla foam for a smooth green finish. The specialty drink will be available March 17 for guests looking to celebrate the holiday with something a little different than the usual green beer.

Greystone Steakhouse, Gaslamp Quarter, March 17In the Gaslamp Quarter, Greystone Steakhouse is offering a St. Patrick’s Day special pairing tacos with green beer for $12. Guests can choose between prime New York strip tacos or salmon tacos, both served with the festive brew. The one-day promotion adds a casual holiday option in the middle of the Gaslamp’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

PO5 and Chocolat, Gaslamp Quarter, March 17Gaslamp nightlife spots PO5 and Chocolat are keeping the St. Patrick’s Day celebration simple with $5 green beers on March 17. The easygoing specials make both venues convenient stops for bar-hoppers moving through the neighborhood’s holiday crowds.

Amuri, Mira Mesa, March 17At Amuri in Mira Mesa, the Sicilian restaurant is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with 50 percent off all beers and cocktails throughout the day on March 17. The promotion turns the holiday into an all-day toast, giving guests a chance to enjoy discounted drinks with lunch, dinner, or late-night gatherings.

Vincenzo Cucina & Lounge, Little Italy, March 17Vincenzo Cucina & Lounge is leaning into Irish-inspired drinks for St. Patrick’s Day. Specials include Guinness, a Lucky Irishman Shot, a Shamrock Sprit,z and an Irish Flag Shot. Earlier in the day, brunch guests can also order Irish Coffee or Baileys and Coffee before the evening celebrations get underway.

Moonshine Flats & The Deck, Downtown – Pair a Guinness and a Jameson shot for $12 and enjoy Loaded Fries, Wings, Beef Dip, and more before heading to Moonshine Flats for music and dancing.

North Park’s Louisiana Purchase has added beef ribs to the menu for a limited-time run through March. Enjoy a ¼ rack for $20a, a ½ rack for $36, or a full rack for $65, paired with a side of fried okra with ghost pepper dust for $9. The restaurant, at University Avenue and Louisiana Street, opens for dinner at 3:00 p.m. daily.

Barrio Logan’s Fonda del Barrio keeps weekends lively with performances from Luis Torres (Friday, March 13), Sergio Estrada (Saturday, March 14), and Sergio D’Tala (Sunday, March 15). The venue features a traditional dining room and cocktail bar/lounge, with happy hour from 4:00 p.m., including $7 margaritas and $6 Mexican draft beers.

The Art of Beer: Craft Meets Visual ArtBallast Point Brewing Company in Little Italy hosts The Art of Beer on Saturday, March 14. North Park welcomes SONO on Saturday, March 14, at 2835 University Ave. Executive Chef Nino Cusimano serves house-made pastas, artisan pizzas, and tableside focaccia.
