CAIRO, March 10 (MENA)- Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Egypt has undertaken intensive and sincere efforts through continuous contacts with all concerned parties to prevent the escalation of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
Speaking at a press conference with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Abdelatty said the efforts were carried out in coordination with Oman and Qatar, but have yet to yield the desired results.
He emphasized that Egypt had earlier warned that any escalation of the crisis would have serious regional and international repercussions, noting that signs of such consequences are beginning to appear as tensions rise.
The minister expressed deep concern over the potential expansion of the conflict to other countries, particularly following what he described as unjustified targeting of several Arab states, including Gulf states, Jordan, Iraq, as well as friendly countries such as Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Abdelatty warned that such developments pose serious risks to regional security and stability. (MENA)
