ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe County legislators approved a plan to purchase the former Carestream building in Rochester.
County Executive Adam Bello previously requested funds from the legislature for the $4 million purchase of the building located next to the ESL Ballpark.

A county spokesperson said the county intends to use the 402,000-square-foot building to relocate at least one department. They said the move will reduce the county’s reliance on leased space and save taxpayers money.
