ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Increasing clouds and warm weather into early Tuesday afternoon then some showers and a possible thundery downpour will pop-up later in the day. Grab the umbrella as a few of these showers may bring locally heavy rain. Temperatures will reach the 60s to near 70 before a lake breeze kicks in and cools areas south of Lake Ontario into the 40s and 50s. On Wednesday some passing showers and thunderstorms in the morning and then another round likely in the afternoon as a cold front moves through the region. We get to enjoy one more warm day with temps into the 60s.
Looking ahead to Thursday much colder air settles into the Rochester region with mixed skies and a few flurries. Temperatures will stay in the 30s all day long. A clipper system will move by on Friday with some rain and snow likely into Friday night. Gusty winds are possible with this storm as well. Colder again on Saturday with highs in the 30s. Plan on a cold day for the St. Patrick’s Parade in Rochester with early morning snow showers clearing for some breaks of sunshine. Another system arrives on Sunday with some snow to rain as temps rise into the 40s before another blast of cold moves in for early next week.
