ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The rosters are finalized for the Ronald McDonald House All-Star Basketball Games. This year marks the 41st anniversary of the event, featuring 60 local athletes and more than 20 cheerleaders. The games unite top talent from Section V to support families relying on the Ronald McDonald House.
“The thing that makes this game so unique and so beautiful is the fact that these are young student athletes that are coming out to support families that they will never meet or know,” said Joanne Ryan, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House. “But the beauty of what they are doing is they’re playing a sport they love for families that we all love and supporting the community in wonderful way.”
The game is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at Gates-Chili High School. To date, the games have raised more than $480,000.
The girls game will be at 5:30 p.m. on March 27, and the boys game will be at 7:30 p.m.
