ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Gorgeous weather Monday with early morning clouds giving way to lots of sunshine and temps soaring towards 70 degrees. Gusty winds will develop during the day with winds 30-40mph at times. On Tuesday the overall winds will be lighter and that will allow a lake breeze to develop and bring a big spread across the region. South of 5&20 reading may be close to 70 once again while areas near Lake Ontario will be closer to 40 Tuesday afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies and a few showers possible in the afternoon.
Wednesday looks to turn warm everywhere with a stronger southerly wind ahead of a front. Readings will reach 65-70 on Wednesday with rain and possible thunder later in the day as a cold front moves through. At this time the Threat Tracker is green with no severe storms expected but will continue to watch closely. Behind that front winter returns. Thursday will be windy and cold in the 30s with possible snow showers. Clipper system will bring snow and rain showers on Friday with cold weather into the weekend. For the big St. Patrick’s parade on Saturday in Rochester plan on temps in the 30s and low 40s with dry conditions. More cold weather for next week looks likely as well.
