My takeaway on that front is that I see this deal as a baseline for what veteran edge help will cost teams in the market.
With Mack going back to the Chargers, I’m sure you’re curious about who could be available when free agency negotiations can begin at 11 a.m. on Monday. Thankfully, teammate Patrick Flowers has a collection of players who are conceivable fits for Chicago’s football team. That group includes Jaelan Phillips, Odafe Oweh, Boye Mafe, and Joey Bosa.
