Pulido, who hails from Guanajuato, currently holds five individual national records. In long course, she boasts the marks in the 50 back as well as the 50 fly. In short pool, Pulido holds the 50 and 100 back bests as well as the 50 fly. She notched the former at the 2025 World Cup in the U.S. and the latter two at the Mexican Open last December.
She has fought hard for many of these records with compatriot Miranda Grana, who also had a breakout year of national records in 2025. The pair, who are arguably the Tri’s most accomplished backstrokers ever, traded records throughout the calendar year.
2026 will mark Pulido’s first full year as a pro after graduating from Southern Illinois University. There, she was the first mid-major woman under 50 in the 100 yard backstroke, and she became her school’s first NCAA finalist in 39 years.
Today, Pulido is competing in the 100 fly and 100 back.
