2026 Speedo Sectionals – Justin, TX

March 5 – March 8, 2026 Justin, Texas SCY (25 yards) Psych Sheets Meet Central Results: Meet Mobile “LAC Spring Speedo Sectionals”

Junior National Team member Madalyn Petty turned in a top swim to kick off the 2026 Justin Sectionals in Texas last night, climbing the national age group rankings with her performance in the 1000 free. The 16-year-old threw down a time of 9:39.21, which knocked eight seconds off her lifetime best and landed her at #40 on the list of all-time top times in the girls’ 15-16 age group.

Her time also marks the 2nd-fastest performance in her age group this season, bumping her up from 7th to sit just behind Audrey Derivaux (9:31.65).

Swimming for the Tyler Rose Aquatic Club in Texas, a smaller club in a rural area of the state, Petty won the event by over 20 seconds on Thursday to mark the only sub-10:00 swim of the night, charging into the wall well ahead of runner-up Addison Vitulli (10:02.00). Petty’s personal best time in the 1000 previously stood at 9:47.36, which she set at the LAC Fall Classic back in November.

Petty missed the 2025 Winter Junior Championships in December, as she was reportedly sick, meaning this meet could be one of her top chances to shine this season. Looking forward at the rest of the meet, she is the top seed in both the 500 and 1650 free and is seeded 7th in the 400 IM.

Thursday night’s competition also saw 18-year-old Gideon Swan of First Colony Swim Team take home the title in the 1000 free in 9:00.83. Swan, who is committed to swim for Texas A&M next season, lowered his lifetime best time by nearly six seconds and jumped up to 21st on the ranking of top times this season in the boys’ 17-18 age group.

The girls’ 200 medley relay went to Lakeside Aquatic Club, with the team of Olivia Colombo, Emma Bibza, Lily Andruss and Kennedi Southern stopping the clock in 1:41.60. 15-year-old Southern anchored the race in 22.09,

Andruss, Bibza and Southern were all back in action shortly after for the 400 free relay; they were joined by Natalie Schneider to win the event in 3:21.45.

Texas Ford Aquatics’ Meng Yeo [22.91], James Fike [24.22], Landon Fike [20.79] and Liam Giles [20.96] combined for a winning time of 1:28.88 in the boys’ 200 medley relay.

Another notable split came from Streamline Aquatics’ Will Harrison, who anchored his 4th-place relay team in 19.64, the only sub-20 second performance in the field. Meanwhile, Maxwell Stanislaus turned in a 20.72 fly leg on Lakeside Aquatic Club’s runner-up relay.

The boys’ 400 free relay saw Lakeside Aquatic Club win in 2:59.95 thanks to Dylan Heldenbrand, Stanislaus, Abhinav Agnihotri and Aiden Tokarski, featuring a 43.25 second leg from Stanislaus. The Stanford commit was the only competitor to hit the 43 range during that event.
