ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester Police officer was brought to the hospital and is out of work for the time being after getting hurt during a domestic call on Tuesday.
The Rochester Police Department says it responded to the area of Upper falls Blvd and Thomas Street for “family trouble.” They say it started as an argument, leading to the suspect pushing the victim to the ground where she hurt her head.
The suspect, 36-year-old Antonio Poole was later found, and officers say he started to get confrontational, refusing to get out of his car. Police say Poole hit an officer as they were forcefully getting him out of the car. That officer was taken to the hospital, and will be out work for an “indefinite amount of time.”
In addition, officers say they found two sandwich bags with a digital scale and what officers think is cocaine. Pool was brought to jail and is held on $10,000 bail. He faces the following charges:
