Middle-distance freestyle specialist Elle Loehr will stay in-state to continue her swimming career at Florida Atlantic University in the fall of 2026.
Loehr previously trained with the Bolles School Sharks and is currently swimming with SwimRise Aquatics out of Jacksonville. She is in her senior year at Fleming Island High School.

Loehr was a finalist at the 2025 FHSAA Class 3A State Championship (SCY), placing 7th in both the 200 free (1:55.14) and 500 free (5:13.80). She also helped Fleming Island finish 4th in the 200 free relay with her split of 24.52 and 5th in the 400 free relay with her time of 53.82.
The year prior at the FHSAA 3A Championships, Loehr posted her lifetime best in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.34 in prelims, before finishing 8th in the finals (1:54.51). She also placed 10th in the 500 free (5:06.43).
Loehr had strong performances in December while representing the Bolles School Sharks at the 2025 FL RAFC Winter Classic (SCY). She placed 6th in the 500 free (5:07.69), 7th in the 1000 free (10:39.44), 10th in the 50 free (24.47), 12th in the 200 free (1:54.93), 13th in the 100 free (53.81), and 30th in the 100 IM (1:03.52). Her time in the 50 free stands as a lifetime best.
At the meet, Loehr also helped her team to 3rd-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relays, anchoring the 200 medley in 23.97 and leading off the 400 free with a new 100 free PB of 53.02.
Loehr earned her fastest 500 free and 1000 free times at the 2025 Florida Senior Championship (SCY) in March. Her 500 free time of 5:03.70 placed 21st, while her 1000 free time of 10:36.40 placed 29th.

Loehr will have the opportunity to add depth to the Owls’ middle-distance group. The fastest 200 free (1:48.98) and 500 free (4:51.05) times on the team this season were held by sophomore Talitha McEwan.
Amelia Johansson Lindkvist, Addison Clark, Hanna Veress, and Lucy Enoch will join Loehr on campus this fall. Both Clark (1:52.30, 4:55.57) and Enoch (1:51.54, 5:05.57) have strong times in the 200 free and 500 free.
