ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are looking for the suspect they say shot a 40-year-old man on North Clinton Avenue on Feb. 1.

Juan Velazquez, 47, is wanted on multiple bench warrants, including one for the shooting on Feb. 1, and for his arrest on Feb. 25 on weapons and drugs charges.
Police say Velazquez shot a man in the stairwell of an apartment complex on North Clinton Avenue. He was arrested on Feb. 25, and taken to the Monroe County Jail where he was being held without bail.
On Feb. 27, police say Velazquez was released on non-monetary conditions. It is believed he failed to follow the conditions set forth, and therefore a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Feb. 28.
According to police, Velazquez is known to frequent the apartment building in the 1600 block of North Clinton Avenue.
