Let’s not sugarcoat it, the month of February was ugly. But if there’s any silver lining, it’s that March can only get better for the Chicago Bulls. Tonight, they face a division rival they’ve shared more than their fair share of bitter moments with, some of them still fresh from earlier this season.
These rosters are far from championship level, but they’re not without purpose. For the Bulls, every game is another brick in their rebuild. For the Bucks, every game feels like a message, a plea through their play to their franchise star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, to believe in what’s being built and to stay.
There are also some underlying storylines that make this one worth watching.
Ousmane Dieng, the player the Bulls passed on, now finding his place in Milwaukee, while Chicago opted for the older presence of Nick Richards. Cam Thomas continuing to prove his value to a “winning program,” carving out his role off the bench. And Leonard Miller and Rob Dillingham, two young players trying to seize the moment, make their mark, and stamp their presence into the foundation of the Bulls’ future.
Not the most alluring game on an 11-game Sunday slate, but definitely one worth tuning in for.

Winless in February! 11-Game Losing Streak: Trail Blazers 121, Bulls 112 – February 26, 2026What to Watch For
The Chicago Bulls are extremely shorthanded today, which opens up a ton of minutes in their rotation. For a tanking team, this is the perfect kind of opportunity, one that creates real development chances for guys like Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller. Miller had a great game against Portland, and now the question becomes: was it just a one-game flash, or something he can consistently replicate?Leonard Miller with the reverse jam to enter crunch time!@leonardmi11er | @CHSN_ pic.twitter.com/T3UeHS1d7X
— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) February 27, 2026 Matas has also been given the chance to step up and take the reins of the offense. With Coby White, Nikola Vučević, and Ayo Dosunmu no longer on the team, and Josh Giddey still struggling since coming back from injury, the responsibility has naturally fallen into his hands. Buzelis just broke his career high two games ago, and you can tell he’s still playing with that same fire. At the same time, he’s been feeling the weight of losing and has made it clear he really wants to win. Sometimes, that kind of desperation creates pressure, and pressure can create diamonds. His offensive bag has shown real variety, and defensively, he’s been playing at a level that stands among the best in the league.Matas' PPG has increased from 14.9 ➡️ 17.6 since the trade deadline ?Is he proving he can be a dominant scorer as his opportunities increase?(h/t @statmuse) pic.twitter.com/WwtR1GP0t8
— Bulls on CHSN (@CHSN_Bulls) February 27, 2026 The Milwaukee Bucks have gone 8–3 in their last 11 games, while at the same time, the Chicago Bulls went 0–11. The Bucks didn’t beat any true contenders during that run, with their most impressive wins coming against a shorthanded Cleveland Cavaliers squad and a shorthanded OKC Thunder team. Other than that, they handled every team they were supposed to, and did it convincingly. Keeping that in mind, the Chicago Bulls fall into that same bracket: this is a must-win game for Milwaukee.Final from Milwaukee. — Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) February 4, 2026 During that stretch, Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins were playing at an insane level. KPJ has been averaging 21 points, eight assists, and nearly three steals per game, while Rollins has put up 20 points, five assists, and five rebounds a night over that same span. This dynamic duo has forced opponents to take them seriously, even without Giannis on the floor. And that’s not even mentioning the offensive firepower they’ve unleashed with Cam Thomas coming off the bench. The Bulls are going to have their hands full defensively trying to contain this level of offense.KPJ tied a career high with FIVE steals tonight.20 PTS | 8 REB | 5 AST | 5 STL | 63% FG pic.twitter.com/NUkJ20G2LN
