Road trips before the NHL Trade Deadline are always tough. A back-to-back with early starts (thus, no morning skates either day) doesn’t make life easier. But the Blackhawks flew from Denver to beautiful Utah for this afternoon’s battle with the Mammoth.
Because there wasn’t a morning skate, I’m leaving Kevin Korchinski in the lineup for Sam Rinzel, who missed Saturday’s game with an illness. We’ll see when the boys come out to warm up if there are any changes.
We’re now inside the final week before the trade deadline, so we remain on hug watch for the Blackhawks. And, without a morning skate, any last minute lineup could make life more interesting.
