Rochester Auto Show
The Rochester Riverside Convention Center will be full of over 150 new models of cars and trucks starting Friday. The Rochester Auto Show runs through Sunday, bringing together car dealers across the region to help people select a new car. There will be sedans, SUVs, electric vehicles, hybrids, commercial trucks, and more at the show.
The auto show runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, then 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can get tickets here. Children 12 and under are free.
There will also be special events at the show. Monroe Community College representatives will be there to discuss careers in the auto tech industry and share information on the new Advanced Technology Center. The state’s Department of Corrections and Community Service will also be there for recruitment.

Amerks game to honor Scott Metcalfe
The Rochester Amerks will celebrate the life of Scott Metcalfe, the Amerks hall-of famer who helped to lead the team to a Calder Cup championship, during Friday night’s game.
Metcalfe died at age 58 last June. Ahead of Friday’s game at the Blue Cross Arena, fans can submit their photos with Metcalfe over the years, which will be displayed on the videoboard. You can submit your photos here.
The game will begin with a 10-second moment of silence, followed by a ceremonial puck-drop with Metcalfe’s family. The Amerks will present Metcalfe’s family with a framed jersey, and a playlist of Metcalfe’s favorite songs will be played during the game’s stoppages.
In addition, the first 2,500 fans will get a commemorative trading card. After the game, 1,500 yo-yos will be given out. The Amerks will take on the Laval Rocket, and the puck drops at 7:05 p.m. You can get tickets here.
Concert for peace
Over 20 local musicians will gather on Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church on Park Avenue to hold a concert with original songs about justice, equity, freedom, and peace.
The proceeds will support the Legal Aid Society of Rochester, New York-Immigration Program, and the work that Immanuel Baptist Church is involved in. The suggested donation for attendees is $20.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m., expected to run for two or three hours. Rochester Music Hall of Fame member John Dady is set to be one of the performers. Organizers say the concert is in response to threats to civil rights.
