Jefferson County officials sent out pre-evacuation warnings for people living in Golden Gate Canyon after a house fire spread and became a wildfire, sheriff’s officials said Thursday morning.

People living within a 3-mile radius of Drew Hill Road and Spirit Horse Trail should be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice, the sheriff’s office said at 11:41 a.m.

Sheriff’s officials first reported the wildland fire in the 10600 block of Ralston Creek Road.

Multiple firefighting crews are on scene, the sheriff’s office said.
