Norway led the way with a historic medal haul, topping the table with 41 medals overall, including 18 golds. Both of those numbers stand as significant for the record books: 18 golds marks the most-ever by a country at the Winter Olympics, while 41 medals stands as the highest total ever by a nation at the Winter Olympics.
The United States finished 2nd on the overall medal table with 33 medals overall and 12 golds, marking the most ever won the country at the Winter Olympics. Host nation Italy finished 4th overall with an impressive 10 golds and 30 medals overall.
