A 15-year-old boy was injured in an accidental shooting in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood, and a suspect was taken into custody, police said.
The shooting was reported at approximately 11:21 a.m. Sunday along South Vincennes Avenue near West Edmaire Street. Chicago police said the teenage boy was inside a home when he was accidentally shot in the leg by a known offender.
The teen went to the hospital to receive treatment and was reported to be in good condition. The suspect was apprehended, and charges were pending, authorities said.
Detectives were continuing to investigate Sunday evening.
