Patricia “Pat” Dillard Clevenger – age 73 of Carthage passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Smith County Health & Rehab. She was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Mildred Dillard; and sisters, Peggy Faye Christian and Paula Joy Proffitt. Pat is survived by son, Gerald (Dawnya) Tomlinson, Phillip (Michelle) Tomlinson, Scott (Laura) Tomlinson; sister, Pam Petrey; grandchildren, Tyler (Paige) Tomlinson, Tucker (Kylie) Tomlinson, Tiffany (fiancé, Blake) Tomlinson, Preston (Sarah) Tomlinson, Axton Tomlinson, and Sebastian Tomlinson; great granddaughter, Everleigh Tomlinson; nephews, Keith (Judy) Proffitt, Michael (Phyllis) Christian, Eddie (Jo) Christian, Bernie (Mig) Christian, and David (ReChelle) Schlauch. Pat was a woman of deep faith, a gentle spirit, and many talents. She worked as a bookkeeper for Walter Smith CPA and Raymond James. She also worked at Walmart Pharmacy and obtained her certification as a pharmacy tech. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord and expressed that love through song. Pat was a member of a gospel singing group and found great joy in lifting her voice in praise. Music was not just something she enjoyed — it was part of who she was. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a good book in hand. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed needlework and took pride in the beauty she created stitch by stitch. Sudoku puzzles were one of her favorite pastimes, keeping her mind sharp and active. Pat had a caring heart and enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family, and members of the community. She treated every animal as if it were her own and was known for her dependability and kindness. For twenty-four years, Pat shared a home and a close bond with her sister, Pam. Together they built a life full of laughter, companionship, and road trips. They loved to travel and created cherished memories during their time together. Above all, Pat will be remembered for her faith, her song, her steady presence, and the love she shared with those around her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Her nephew, Bro. Michael Christian will officiate the services. Interment will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
