I can’t think of a better way to start a Valentine’s Day set of BN Bears Bullets than with an anecdote featuring the team we all love to hate — the Green Bay Packers. The Bears-Packers rivalry is soooo back. And I’m not just saying that because of what happened in the postseason. Each of the last five games between these two long-standing foes have been one-score contests. What has further amplified these games is that each was decided on (essentially) the game’s final possession. As of now, Chicago’s football team has just three top-100 picks. Last year, the Bears made four picks in the top-75 — including three selections in the 39-62 range. It makes me want to root for General Manager Ryan Poles to use his second-round pick (currently No. 57) as a trade chip to create more selections.
