Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

After previously committing to Virginia Tech, Spire Academy’s Erkhes Enkhtur has announced his commitment to the SEC program Georgia, beginning in the fall of 2026.

Very excited to announce my commitment to the University of Georgia. I am so thankful for this opportunity and grateful to everyone who got me this far. I am proud to be a Dawg. GO DAWGS!!!

In December, Enkhtur and his Spire Coach, Thad Schultz, sat down with SwimSwam’s own Gold Medal Mel Stewart to discuss the impact Enkhtur has had on Mongolian Swimming since his time in the US, including his upbringing in the pool, which included training in a three-lane, 70-meter pool.

Enktur, the holder of six Mongolian national records across both short and long course, has set several of his fastest-ever times since we reported on his previous commitment in November.

In December, Enkhtur raced at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships in Indianapolis, where he finished 9th overall in the 100 backstroke, touching in 47.99. He did clock his fastest 100 back as the leadoff of Spire’s 400 medley relay in 47.59. In the 200 medley relay, Enkhtur led off with a lifetime-best 50 back leg of 21.41, helping Spire to an 8th-place finish in the event. He also raced the 200 IM at those championships, finishing 23rd in a career fastest time of 1:48.20.

In January, at the G.O.A.T TYR Team Challenge, Enkhtur swam his fastest 50 freestyle ever in 20.81, as well as his best 200 free in 1:41.81. He also showcased his versatility with another career-best in the 200 breaststroke of 2:01.70.

He also holds a 100 breast best of 55.14 and a 100 butterfly time of 48.30 from the OH GWA Lake Erie Open in November.

Best Times SCY:

100 Back: 47.59 200 Back: 1:47.57 100 Breast: 55.14 200 Breast: 2:01.70 200 IM: 1:48.20 100 Fly: 48.30 200 Free: 1:41.81

The Bulldog men finished 4th last season at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.

Based on Enkhtur’s best times, he would have finished 37th in the 100 back, 40th in the 200 back, and 50th in the 200 IM.

As previously mentioned, Enkhtur’s backstroke-breaststroke mix is an uncommon combination, giving him a wide range of events to choose from and greatly benefiting Georgia.

Comparing his best times to the Bulldogs’ current roster, he would rank top six in both the 100 breast (4th) and 100 back (6th).

He will also be a potential fit for the future Bulldog relays; Enkhtur’s 50 back (21.41) and 50 breast (25.17) each would be top three on this season’s Georgia team.

Enkhtur bolsters the Bulldog’s 2026 recruiting class alongside Jude Banks, Maddex Ternes, Kris Mihaylov, Nicholas Kwan, and Sam Lofstrom.
