2026 NBA Draft Prospect Heat Check: Flemings, Allen, Mullins, More ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

As Chicago Bulls fans strive to look beyond the tanking team’s five-game losing skid, it’s time to start dialing in on the 2026 NBA Draft class.

The 24-30 Bulls are currently projected to notch the No. 10 pick in Tankathon’s latest mock. While there’s expected to be a drop-off beyond the top-three superstars at the upper echelon of the draft (Kansas wing Darryn Peterson, Duke power forward Cameron Boozer, and BYU small forward AJ Dybantsa), there are still quality pieces to be had even where Chicago is more likely to pick.

Here are the latest college pieces that are trending in one direction or the other.

2026 NBA Draft Prospects — Stock Up

Keaton Wagler (G, University of Illinois)

Wagler’s star has been on the rise for the last few weeks. He’s been a pseudo-fixture on these lists lately, because he’s been crashing the lottery prospect party as perhaps the surprise standout of the 2025-26 NCAA season.

The 6-foot-6 Fighting Illini swingman has been lighting college hoops on fire since he poured in a stunning 46 points against Purdue late last month.

Since then, he’s scored 20 or more points in three of his last six games, including a 34-point performance in an overtime loss against Big Ten nemesis Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Through 25 games this year, Wagler has been averaging an impressive line of 18.5 points on .464/.437/.800 shooting splits, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per. He feels like a true presence.

Braylon Mullins (G, UConn)

Mullins has been a steadfast presence in top-10 mock projections for a while. The 6-foot-6 Huskies true freshman guard has been lighting it up from deep, connecting on 38.4 percent of his 5.8 long range takes per.

While an October ankle injury might have tempered the start to his first college season, Mullins has now firmly established himself as a key cog in Bobby Hurley’s system.

Amari Allen (SF, Alabama)

The 6-foot-7 Crimson Tide freshman forward has been hovering around the periphery of the bottom of the first round/top of the second round, meaning he could be a Bulls flier pick if he drops to the second.

Allen is big, switchy and physical, and has some appetizing upside at the next level.

2026 NBA Draft Prospects — Stock Down

Kingston Flemings (PG, Houston)

The 6-foot-4 guard had logged 10 consecutive double-digit scoring nights before submitting a pair of lackluster scoring results in two of his last four games. He shot 2-of-9 from the floor against both Cincinnati two weeks ago and AJ Dybantsa’s BYU on Tuesday, scoring seven points and four points, respectively.

Flemings has been hounded by criticisms about his defensive upside, but he seems to have been showing flashes as a solid man-to-man defender, too.

Still, Flemings is projected to land in the top 10 of Tankathon’s latest mock draft, even if his shooting has been somewhat hot and cold of late.

Thomas Haugh (PF, Florida)

The 6-foot-9 junior combo forward seems like he’ll thrive as a complementary piece on a good team as a pick in the 20s range of the first round.

He has a solid motor and could be a switchier, lighter Taj Gibson at the next level.

While Haugh had been floating around the bottom of the lottery at one point, the junior NCAA champ has slid, more because others have passed him than any major regression in his production.

This year, Haugh has been averaging career bests of 17.8 points (while slashing .476/.352/.740), 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks.

Jayden Quaintance (C, Kentucky)

Once considered the best center prospect in the draft, the ailing Quaintance has been lapped by North Carolina’s Henry Veesaar and Houston’s Chris Cenar Jr., with 7-foot-3 Michigan big Aday Mara and his comrade Morez Johnson lurking.

Quaintance, too, has been a mainstay on these lists of late — but that’s because his stock is in absolute freefall as questions abound regarding his ability to stay on the floor.
