Silent Witness season 29 episodes pulled from planned schedule by BBC after real-life incident ...Middle East

News by : (Radio Times) -

The third and fourth episodes of the new season, comprising a two-part story titled The Enemy Within, were due to air on Monday (9th February) on BBC One, but were pulled from the schedule and replaced with the fifth and sixth episodes in the season.

The BBC is believed to have rescheduled the episodes in response to a real-life incident that occurred in Birmingham over the weekend, whereby two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were attacked with a machete.

A BBC spokesperson told TV Guide: "Due to the attack in Birmingham over the weekend, this week's episodes of Silent Witness will not transmit as planned and instead they have been replaced with two episodes from later on in the series."

The new season launched Emilia Fox back onto our screens as Dr Nikki Alexander alongside David Caves as her husband and colleague Jack Hodgson.

Silent Witness seasons 1-28 are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
