Premier League Darts is back for 2026, with the world’s best talent locking horns once again.
Reigning champion Luke Humphries will try to hold off a rampant Luke Littler, having recently won in Saudi Arabia and at the PDC World Masters. Adding to his dominant World Darts Championship win.
Guian van Veen, and Michael van Gerwen qualified on merit alongside the two 2025 finalists, based on the PDC rankings.
Jonny Clayton, Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price have been selected as wildcard entries by the organisers.
The eight-man tournament started on Thursday 5 February in Newcastle, where Michael van Gerwen was victorious.
Fans will be treated to weekly fixtures until finals night at the London O2 arena, on Thursday 28 May.
What is the tournament format?
Each of the 16 game nights is its own mini tournament, beginning with all eight players taking part in four quarter-final matches.
There are then semi-finals and a final to decide the night.
All league stage matches are best-of-11-legs.
The players compete to accumulate points in a league table throughout the season, with their nightly results determining the number of points they earn.
The top four players in the table at the end of week 16 progress to finals night.
The points system:
Nightly winner: 5 points Runner-up: 3 points Losing semifinalists: 2 pointsPlayers will meet in the quarter-finals between weeks one and seven, then again between weeks nine and 15. The fixtures in weeks eight and 16 are decided by the players’ position in the league table.
On finals night, the player who finishes first in the league plays fourth in their semi-final. Second will play third in the other semi-final in a best-of-19-leg showdown.
The winner will then be crowned after a best-of-21-leg final.

The winner of this year’s Darts Premier League will take home £350,000, an increase on the £275,000 Luke Humphries walked away with last year. In total, there will be £1.25m up for grabs.

How can I watch Premier League Darts?
The 2026 Premier League Darts begins on Thursday 5 February at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle and finishes on Thursday 28 May at the O2 Arena in London.
For those who haven’t managed to secure a ticket, there will be coverage of the tournament on television.
Sky Sports has exclusive rights to the event and will be showing all the matches livein the UK from 7 pm. Viewers will need to subscribe to Sky Sports, which starts from £20 a month.
