Figure skating makes its highly anticipated debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics starting early Friday, and there will be no shortage of excitement.
The first three team competitions will kick off with rhythm dance and pair’s and women’s short programs.

What time is figure skating?
Figure skating events begin starting at 3 a.m. CT with the rhythm dance program.
After that, the pair’s short begins at 4:35 a.m. CT, followed by the women’s short program at 6:35 a.m. CT.

Who is competing Friday?
For Team USA, Madison Chock and Michigan-native Evan Bates will skate in the rhythm dance.
Chicago-area skating star Danny O’Shea will compete with his partner Ellie Kam in the pair’s short program.
