The Chicago Bulls were one of the busiest teams ahead of the NBA trade deadline, sending out a slew of players in a flurry of deals.
In all, the Bulls were involved in at least six trades, five of which the team has confirmed as the trade deadline has come and gone.
Veteran players like Coby White and Nikola Vucevic have found new homes, and the Bulls’ roster will look a lot different when they take the floor against the Toronto Raptors Thursday.
Here’s a breakdown of how things unfolded for Chicago.
Dalen Terry – Traded to the Knicks
The Bulls traded Terry to the Knicks in exchange for forward Guerschon Yabusele and cash considerations.
Terry was then reportedly traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a deal that sent point guard Jose Alvarado to the Knicks.
Terry averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game for the Bulls in 24 games this season. Yabusele averaged 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 41 games for the Knicks.
Nikola Vucevic – Traded to the Celtics
Vucevic, who averaged 17.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the Bulls over parts of six seasons, was traded by the Bulls to the Boston Celtics along with a future second-round draft pick.
In exchange, the Bulls received guard Anfernee Simons and a 2026 second-round pick.
Simons is averaging 14.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 49 games for the Celtics, coming off the bench for Boston during his first season with the team.
Coby White – Traded to the Hornets
Another long-time Bulls player was traded ahead of the deadline, as guard Coby White was dealt to the Charlotte Hornets along with guard Mike Conley, whom the Bulls acquired in a three-team trade earlier in the week.
White has played for seven seasons with the Bulls, averaging 15.4 points, 3.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds per contest in his career.
In exchange, the Bulls acquired guard Collin Sexton, who has averaged 14.2 points and 3.7 assists per game in 42 games with the Hornets this season.
The Bulls also received forward Ousmane Dieng from the Hornets, but later reportedly traded him to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team swap.
Kevin Huerter – Traded to the Pistons
The Bulls had kicked off the trade deadline fracas with a three-team trade involving the Pistons and Timberwolves, and part of that deal sent Huerter to Detroit.
Huerter is averaging 10.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 44 games for the Bulls.
In exchange, the Bulls received guard Jaden Ivey from the Pistons and guard Mike Conley from the Timberwolves. They later dealt Conley to the Hornets in the Coby White trade.
Ivey is averaging 8.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, along with 1.6 assists per contest in 33 games.
Nick Richards – Reportedly Acquired by Bulls
The Bulls reportedly made a late move before Thursday’s deadline, with ESPN’s Shams Charania reporting that they had sent Dieng to the Bucks and acquired Nick Richards in a deal that also involved the Phoenix Suns.
Richards, a center, appeared in 28 games for the Suns this season, averaging 3.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips – Traded to the Timberwolves
The Bulls reportedly traded guard Ayo Dosunmu to the Minnesota Timberwolves prior to the deadline, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Dosunmu, a second-round pick of the Bulls in 2021, is averaging 15 points, 3.6 assists and three rebounds per game with the Bulls this season, his fifth with the team.
Also part of the deal was Julian Phillips, who is in his third NBA season, appearing in 35 games for Chicago as he averaged 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
In exchange, the Bulls landed Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller and four second-round draft picks from the Timberwolves.
Dillingham, a second-year point guard, is averaging 3.5 points and 1.7 assists per game, averaging 9.3 minutes per game for Minnesota.
Miller is in his third NBA season, averaging about five minutes per game off the bench for Minnesota.
