Georgia has had to deal with many off-the-field issues over the past few seasons, and that continued as defensive tackle London Seymour was charged with 11 felonies after he and three other men allegedly damaged 11 doors in dorms at Georgia at the beginning of December. He was arrested on Jan. 29, but he posted bond and he was released.
His lawyer, Kim Stephens, made a statement to ESPN, saying the incident was based off a TikTok challenge and that he hopes to have the case dismissed.
“The UGAPD took 11 warrants in a case that they could have and should have taken a single warrant,” Stephens said, per Mark Schlabach. “London and three other young men are alleged to have caused damage to 11 doors in a residence hall while participating in a viral TikTok ‘door kick’ challenge, as many other young people have done around the country.”
Seymour, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Georgia great Richard Seymour, was a walk-on the team this past season, and he got into the season-opening win against Marshall.
The one knock on Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart is that there has been major off-the-field issues for players on the team, as there have been headlines the past few years involving Georgia players.
