ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We now have a Yellow Alert up for Saturday for a brutal arctic blast that will bring wind chills well below zero, gusty winds, and lake effect snow. This blast will be following a clipper system that may bring half a foot of snow, meaning blowing snow will be another issue. But the main concern is the brutal cold.
As for today, it’s still cold. Some nice sunshine for the morning but clouds build this afternoon. Lake flakes are possible but little to no accumulation. Tomorrow brings similar temperatures in the low 20s and a smaller chance of some flurries.
Friday the clipper system will arrive in the mid afternoon and last overnight. 4-6″ of snow is possible but that forecast may change. As soon as the system passes east lake effect snow and the brutal blast of arctic air moves in. Sunday the frigid air and lake flakes remain.
