Before the Blackhawks host the Sharks tonight — a game that will put the fun rivalry the fans and, especially, media are cultivating between Connor Bedard and Macklin Celebrini on display — the Hawks did something fun last night. They hosted a party for season ticket members. Lots of fun memories for fans of any age last night.
I’m old enough to remember when the Stanley Cup championship-winning guys handed out tickets all over the city in their jerseys with their names on the back and… nobody knew who they were. These young guys are enjoying this many people caring about their performances on the ice because those guys won. And I will say, it appears this young group appears capable of handling the excitement around being a Chicago Blackhawk. The days of there only being 3,500 people in the stands are long gone.

— Chicago Blackhawks (@NHLBlackhawks) February 2, 2026 On the ice yesterday at practice, the Blackhawks were still without one of their key veterans. But the rest of the team skated pretty much as we’ve seen it recently. We’ll see if there are any tweaks at the morning skate before hosting the Sharks tonight.Blackhawks lines in practice. — Charlie Roumeliotis (@CRoumeliotis) February 1, 2026 Blackhawks prospect Jack Pridham had a ridiculous month of January, and earned OHL Player of the Month honors. He posted 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) in 11 games — after failing to put a point on the board in the first game of the month! He had a point in every game following the first contest of the new year.Priddy, Priddy goodThe @OHLRangers forward and @NHLBlackhawks prospect hit the jackpot in January, earning #OHL Player of the Month honours.DETAILS: t.co/tjzUwxm9fZ pic.twitter.com/vvE6VQhAwf
— Ontario Hockey League (@OHLHockey) February 1, 2026 In the one game on the college slate yesterday, UMass beat UMass Lowell 6-4. Unfortunately, Blackhawks prospect Václav Nestrašil left the game in the first period after taking a high, illegal hit and he did not return. We’ll have to wait and see how he’s doing. A reminder: the semifinals of this year’s Beanpot are today at TD Garden in Boston. Sacha Boisvert and Boston University face Northeastern at 7 PM CT. The Rockford IceHogs lost 2-1 on Sunday, but Nick Lardis picked up right where he left off before he was promoted to the NHL. — Rockford IceHogs (@goicehogs) February 1, 2026 Finally, the Stadium Series game in Tampa yesterday had everything. The Lightning showed up in the Buccaneers’ creamsicle jerseys — with Baker Mayfield. The Bruins showed up dressed as Revolutionary War soldiers. Jon Cooper showed up dressed as… Tony Montana?
