Arizona State legend James Harden was in attendance for Saturday’s Territorial Cup, as the Sun Devils debuted Harden’s new jerseys on the court.
Harden made a grand entrance into Desert Financial Arena with 3:38 left in the first half and was met with a raucous ovation.

The jerseys honoring Harden were unveiled on Jan. 20 but had yet to be worn by ASU’s men’s or women’s basketball teams.
The jersey features Harden’s No. 13 on the back of the collar with his branded “H” in the top right corner of the jersey. The Harden elements adorn a primarily black jersey with the “Arizona State” lettering in maroon with a gold outline and gold number in the center.

Harden signed a 13-year, $200 million deal with Adidas in 2015 after a stint with Nike to begin his professional career. Arizona State agreed to a deal with Adidas that also officially began in 2015, after its own history with Nike.

Harden played two seasons with the Sun Devils before getting drafted No. 3 overall to the Oklahoma City Thunder. His jersey was retired by ASU in 2015.
ASU went 8-22 the year prior to Harden’s arrival in 2007. He then helped lead the Sun Devils to back-to-back 20-win seasons and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009, the school’s first in five years.
In his sophomore campaign in 2008-09, he became the first ASU player to earn consensus First-Team All-America honors. He was named Pac-10 Player of the Year, leading the league in both scoring (20.1 points per game) and steals (1.69 per game).
The jerseys are now for sale and retail for $100.
