ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Temperatures continue to struggle to get out of the teens as a persistent arctic airmass dominates the northeast. Our highs today will be in the mid teens with wind chills just above zero; same goes for tomorrow.
Today we see some more lake effect snow… Fluffy accumulations up to an inch or two along the lakeshore with much less south of 104. That lake snow should dampen this afternoon but otherwise it will be mostly cloudy out.
Chances for lake flakes again tomorrow morning, but skies clear afterwards with decent sunshine in the afternoon.
Over the first half of the workweek temperatures will become less harsh, with Tuesday seeing highs in the upper 20s… That will be the warmest we get over the next 10 days. No big storms in our weekly forecast, and another arctic airmass spills into the region for next weekend.
