PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) – Penfield girl’s basketball went to overtime with Fairport in a low-scoring game between two of the best teams in Section V.
Down three points in the final seconds, Fairport’s Clara Shannon got fouled driving in for two, hit the layup and knocked down the free throw, sending the game to extra time.
The Patriots didn’t shy away in OT, as Jordan Rasmussen, Reegan Sercu, and Alivia Duckles teamed up for a big run to put it away at home, 48 to 42.
Elsewhere, Webster Schroeder had no trouble with a 59 to 31 win over Brighton. The Warriors move to 13-1 after the win.
