A massive plume of smoke billowing into the air from a west suburban house fire could be seen for miles Thursday afternoon.
Around 5:15 p.m., NBC Chicago Sky 5 helicopter reporter Mike Lorber spotted the cloud of smoke rising from Oswego while gathering footage of a separate fire at a commercial building in Joliet.
The fire was burning in a residential house on the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive in Oswego.
Aerial footage captured by Sky 5 showed at least 10 emergency vehicles in the area as crews tended to the flames.
Several firefighters used hoses to spray the fire, video showed.
