ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cold and snowy winter weather continues with temperatures up to the teens once more today, with accumulating lake effect snow showers expected through Saturday morning and dangerously cold temperatures tomorrow. We have a Yellow Alert up tomorrow for said cold.
Lake Ontario effect snow will enter the region later this morning and cause accumulating snowfall mainly near the lakeshore through Saturday morning. As the wind shifts it will not be constant snowfall for everybody and eventually will focus on Wayne County.
Friday morning wind chills will be 15 to 25 degrees below zero and could cause frostbite to exposed skin in 30-60 minutes. Do not stay outside for extended periods unless you are dressed properly. The temperature itself won’t even get to 10 degrees.
Frigid temperatures continue through the weekend. The nor’easter developing this weekend still looks like it will not have any impacts here. Stay tuned for updates.
