On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Charity died at 1:20 a.m. while "surrounded by her loved ones," TMZ reported on Monday, Jan. 28.
Her daughter, Charly, also confirmed her death, writing, "She's up with her momma and brother and sister and she's finally at peace." She added, "Fly high momma. I hope you know how much I love you and how grateful I was to be able to be be your side while you took your last breath."
"I'm embarrassed of my body," she confessed. "I don't want anybody to see it. I mean, I look completely different than anybody else, so...I'm embarrassed of me. I know I look like a freak."

"Every night after he passed out, my comfort was to go in the kitchen and eat," she shared. "And I remember I used to love those times in the kitchen by myself. I was OK as long as I was eating. My only comfort was food."
With a 1,000-calorie diet set by medical professionals, Charity was able to lose 40 pounds while in the hospital. She weighed 729 pounds by the time she was discharged. Dr. Now gave her a goal of losing another 40 pounds in order to qualify for weight-loss surgery.
She weighed 709 pounds at her next weigh-in, only losing 18 pounds. Although she fell short of her goal, Dr. Now still approved the surgery pending more weight loss while hospitalized again; she got down to 650 pounds pre-surgery.
At her next weigh-in, the scale read 639 pounds, missing her goal of under 600 pounds to qualify for excess skin removal surgery.
