2010s Rocker Admits There's No New Music Coming for Popular Band ...Saudi Arabia

While the band remains active on tour, Forge made it clear that Ghost’s future releases are wide open and intentionally unplanned. Speaking with Adam Wallis of Canada’s Global News, Forge was asked if Ghost would continue its long-running pattern of releasing an EP after each full-length album. His answer was simple and direct: no new EP is coming right now.

According to Forge, Ghost is fully focused on its ongoing North American Skeletour, and once that wraps up, there is nothing scheduled in the studio for the band. While he confirmed that he is currently recording music, Forge emphasized that it is not a new Ghost record and not a covers EP either.

He still has dreams, goals and a wish list for Ghost, just not on a fixed timeline. And to him, that uncertainty feels healthy.

Fans attending shows are required to lock their phones inside Yondr pouches, which stay sealed throughout the performance unless unlocked by venue staff outside the main hall. Forge admitted he expected backlash when the rule was announced, and there was plenty of online chatter before the tour began. However, more than 50 shows into the tour, Forge believes the decision was absolutely the right one.

Despite keeping future music plans open-ended, Ghost remains busy on the road. The 2026 North American leg of the Skeletour kicked off on Jan. 21 in Orlando and runs through Feb. 23 in Los Angeles.

The tour follows a massive run of success for Ghost. In May 2025, the band’s latest album, Skeletá, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It marked the first hard rock album to top the chart since 2020 and sold 86,000 equivalent units in its first week, with vinyl making up a major share of those sales.

For now, Ghost fans can expect powerful live shows, just not new music anytime soon.
