The Chicago Cubs have continued bolstering their roster depth, reportedly signing outfielder Dylan Carlson.
According to Ray Rardin with Arizona Prospect watch and Greg Zumach of Ivy Futures, Carlson will sign with the Cubs on a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training.
Carlson would be the latest player added to the Cubs as they look to fill out their bench spots, with former Houston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick reportedly signing a deal with the team earlier this month.
Drafted in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Cardinals, Carlson spent the 2025 season with the Baltimore Orioles. He had six home runs and 20 RBI’s in 241 plate appearances, slashing .203/.278/.336 in an injury-shortened campaign.
The Cubs will report to spring training in Arizona next month, with exhibition games starting on February 20 when they face the White Sox at Sloan Park.
